Painting your cockpit
A good coat of paint
will tie everything in your cockpit together. An approximate match is
one thing... but finding the exact paint colour would be ideal.
If you live near
a Benjamin-Moore paint dealer, you're in luck. We have done the work of
matching Airbus and Boeing's cockpit panel colours for you. The following
formulas ("formulae" for those with Oxford English Dictionaries) indicate
the number of 'shots' per quart of Benjamin-Moore paint:
A formula using 'shots' won't mean much to you or me, but
I'm told it should make sense to your paint mixer! Check with your dealer
to see if this formula is written the way they are used to seeing them.
Note that the coding for Australian
paint dealers is somewhat different.
