UNDERWATER SPELL

Everything is translucent.
Through waving seaweed,
I see other seaweed waving.
Fish flotillas flash by nervously.
Beyond them are rocks, translucent, too,
rocks within rocks within rocks.
I see you hidden
under a stone.

You tremble -

I look away, listening to strange songs -
heart tremors! The green moon shines
mutilating sea images,
creating miraculous jewels - shards
of glass dreams gleam upon the waves.
All that remains to be done
to break the spell
is to roll away the stone.
