As a trained medical doctor and scientist, Dana Scully was the FBI's obvious choice to partner with Mulder, who's work it would seem, the agency wanted debunked. However, Scully is no pawn to be used by anyone. She viewed her assignment with an honest and open approach. While seeking a scientific explanation for "paranormal" events, her intelligence and honesty would not allow her simply dismiss all of Mulder's findings.

Her mental powers and moral fibre make her an excelent support person for Mulder. A queen.
