With this chess set, the pieces are divided into two categories. One side representing all that is good and bright about Saskatchewan. While the other side represents those things darker, more sinister, unpleasant and downright embarrassing about this great province. The pieces themselves represent historical or contemporary characters known for culture or politics, or for great achievements in sport, or heinous crimes. Or they are symbols of past mistakes, and sometimes, today's daily life.
