

How to use your @em.ca address
Introduction to your e-mail box
The mail is stored on our server until you delete it. You can fetch your mail
over POP3 or IMAP, or browse it through our webmail interface. Note that once
your mail is removed using POP3 or IMAP it will not be available in the webmail
interface any longer. If you choose to not automatically remove e-mail from
your em.ca e-mail box be sure to remove it eventually.
Fetching over POP3
Here are the settings you can use in your mailing software.
- outgoing mail server, or SMTP server
- mail.em.ca
- incoming mail server, or POP3 server
- mail.em.ca
- username
- you@em.ca -- Note: if you@em.ca fails due to authentication
failure, try you:em.ca (with a colon) instead.
- From field
- Your Name <you@em.ca>
- Reply-to field
- You can leave this blank if you want reply messages to go to the From
address.
Outgoing mail
You can use mail.em.ca as your outgoing or SMTP server. Our mail
server will only accept your outgoing mail if you've been authorised. All you
need to do to authorise is check your mail with POP3 or IMAP.
Browsing through our web mail interface
The URL to our web mail interface is http://em.ca/webmail/ or https://em.ca/webmail/ for encryption. The
web mail interface fetches your mail for you.
E-mail forwarding
You will need to contact us to change the
address to which your em.ca address forwards.
