Creeping, mat-forming perennial with purple flowers with white
and yellow spotted lips, about 20 mm in length.Rock garden plant,
requiring (always difficult on the prairies) moist but well drained
soil.
Couple of concerns - you can see from the bottom photos, runners
galore, not sure I want something this aggressive in my rock garden.
Also, one reference book says it has evergreen foliage - often
the kiss of death for plants with our cold sunny winter days which
can dessicate plants so badly they die.
Photos of plants shown above are in their first year after being grown from seed.
