Malva sylvestris 'Zebrina'

This is a great plant. Long bloomer, attractive striped blooms. Begins blooming in early July for us. Blooms very well its first year from seed.

In our experience it requires regular watering or it will dry up and be unattractive. We grow them mostly in full sun, a few in partial shade.

Grows 3-4 feet tall, and is bushy - at least 2 feet wide, best to give it lots of room.

Hardy to Zone 5. Have been unable to overwinter, but is a very prolific self-seeder.

Glen's score:  7.
