Lysimachia ciliata 'Firecracker'

Nice combination of dark foliage and small, bright yellow blooms.  Foliage is a combination of green, along with new growth coloured brown and purple.

Note this is the same genus and species as the Fringed Loosestrife which is native to the
Canadian prairies.

We have it growing in full shade and partial shade, although reference books list it as hardy in sun or shade.

Hardy zone 3.

Upright growth habit, and very invasive.Height varies from 24 inches to 36 inches, dependent upon the height of nearby plants with which it is competing. Will spread to form a large patch if you let it.

Glen's score:  6.
