Lysimachia punctata

Easy to grow perennial, with a long bloom time. Yellow, star-like blooms appear along each flower stem. Blooms begin in mid-June for us. Upright growth habit.

Grows about 18" in height. Will form a good-sized patch in a single year.  We grow it in full sun and partial shade.

This is a tough adaptable plant, hardy zone 2.

The problem with Lysimachia punctata is that it's pretty invasive. We've dealt with this problem by simply growing it in 3 gallon pots sunk into the garden. Cut the bottom out of the pots for drainage. The sides of the pot keep the plant's underground shoots in check.

Glen's score:  7.
