Useful plant for the shade garden.  Foliage consists of large dark green leaves, each with interesting jagged edges.  Flower spikes appear in mid summer, and display dark yellow blooms.

Does not like sun, nor very dry soil.

Hardy zone 3.

These are large plants, need lots of room.  Height of 5-6 feet, an will spread in a couple of years to form a mound 5 feet wide.
