Interesting orange-yellow flower spikes. Foliage is grass-like, resembles Hemerocallis (Daylilly). When in bloom, ours have a height of about 30". One complaint - wish they'd bloom longer, not in bloom all that long.
We grow them in full sun in a well-drained, sunny location.
Overwintering these outdoors is pushing it here in Regina, SK. I pile lots of mulch on top of these plants in late fall. I have them growing in the warmest microclimate in our yard, which helps, too. Update (a few years later) - eventually grew tired of muclhing these and losing half of them each winter. Growing Yuccas in that some spot instead - hardier and nicer foliage.
Hardy to zone 5.
Height with flower spike about 36", width of 20".
