Heuchera americana 'Dale's Strain'

We grow this perennial for its foliage.  The veining on the leaves adds interest to the garden.  We find the leaves achieve their best colouring is this plant is grown in shade or partial shade.

Leaves form a small mound about 10" tall.  Flower spikes appear in summer with small, bell-shaped flowers... flowers are nothing special, and I think this plant looks better with its flower spikes snipped off.

Easy to grow from seed.

Hardy zone 3.

Glen's score:  6.
