Hepatica noblis

Spring blooming, little woodland plant with very attractive purple-blue flowers. Foliage shown above is last year's and rather tired looking... new foliage appears after the flowers are finished, we then cut away last years' leaves.

We have these growing in a shady sites with rich, humusy soil. Photos were taken April 14th.

Hardy to zone 4.

Height of 4", spread in a few years to 10".

Glen's score:  8.
