Dictamnus albus 'Purpureus'

Above photos from 1999

Same plant in 2000, more blooms and foliage is looking much lighter in colour in this photo

Easy to grow perennial with good-sized, pinkish white flowers.  Begins blooming in mid June here in zone 3.  Blooms have the scent of lemons. Easy to grow, all and all, a great plant.

Bushy plants which in time grow to about 3 feet wide.

Have a tap root which helps them to thrive in dry conditions.  This plant gets floppy if grown in too much shade.

Hardy zone 2.

Height / Spread:  2 feet - 3 feet  /  3 feet.

Glen's score:  8.
