If you like blue flowers, you'll love this perennial. Late June through July is covered in dark blue flowers, with purple splotches. Does not have flower spikes like most Delphiniums. Instead, this species has a bushy growth habit.

Height varies from 16" to 24" for us. Blooms are about the size of a 25 cent piece.

We have it growing in partial shade. Does not like to dry right out, can be floppy in too much shade, it then requires staking.

Blooms first year from seed.
