Small, spring-bloomer for the shade garden. Leaves are light green, grow close to the ground and have an interesting serrated edge to them.
Is a member of the Primrose family, does best in soil rich in organic matter, and not too dry.
Will self-seed in the garden. We grow them in shade and partial shade.
Flower spikes reach 25 cm or so, spread to 30 cm after a couple
of years.
Hardy zone 4.
Glen's score: 7.
