Summer blooming plant with an upright growth habit. Not too tall, we grew it in a shady corner of our rock garden, where it was shade tolerant. Not terribly showy, more of an oddity. We apparently were growing the runt of the litter, I've seen photos of this plant with quite showy reddish-pink flowers.
Survived one winter, then was monocarpic, not very disappointed to see it go.
I can't even remember where we got this from - grew from seed, purchased, or in a plant exchange?
Height up to 30 cm.
Hardy zone ?, a guess is 4.
