Cicerbita alpina


In the above photo, the Cicerbita alpina has the light green foliage.

Leaves are coarsely-toothed. In mid-summer, flower stalks appear
bearing light-purple flowers. Grows about 4 feet tall for us, we have it in full sun / partial shade.

Hardy to zone 3 or 4. Native to alpine and arctic Europe.

Blooms first year from seed.

Common name: Mountain Sow Thistle.
