Chelone obliqua

Not the most exciting perennial you can grow, but useful because it flowers mid-August when many other perennials are finished blooming.

Should be grown in partial shade. Spreads readily, almost to the point of being invasive.

Blooms are light pink. There is also a white-blooming variety.

Hardy zone 3.

Grows about 27" tall for us, will spread into a patch 2 feet or more if you let it.

Glen's score:  5.
