Deep purple blooms in good sized clusters on the end of each stem. Very, very nice when blooming.

Too bad it doesn't bloom very long  (looks good for about 2 weeks).  After blooming, these plants look tired and messy,we always cut them back.  Always requires staking in our experience.

We grow this in full sun and partial shade.  I've seen it bloom is quite shady spots in other folks' gardens.

Hardy zone 2.

Grows up to 24 inches tall, spread of 12 inches to 24 inches.
