Shade perennial, with dark green foliage and dark-red blooms (bracts) which appear in late June. Flowers fade with age.

We grow them in full shade.  

Has given us several new plants from self-seeding.

Hardy to zone 4.

Bushy plants - 60 cm in height and width.
