Tall perennial wildflower, clusters of pinkish red flowers in mid summer.
We grow them in partial shade. Its common name, Swamp Milkweed, implies it requires moist soil, but we haven't found we need to water any more than most other perennials.
Frankly, not the showiest plant in our garden, but an easy, undemanding plant.
Hardy to as least zone 3.
Erect stems to 36+ inches, spread of about 18 inches.
Glen's score: 6.
