1998 was the first year we grew this plant. Interesting plant
for two reasons:
1) its red-brown stems and black-green leaves in spring,
2) sprays of small white flowers in mid-summer.
The flower stems grow to about 4' tall for us, we have it growing in partial shade. The foliage colour faded to dark green as summer went on.
Glen's score: 6.
1999 update: died over the winter... possibly was in a spot that was too wet after snow melt in spring. Sayonara, doesn't interest me enough to try growing it again.
