Branching shrub with small, globe-shaped panicles of white flowers. Flowers with 5 petals, a flower measured with a 7 mm diameter, flower panicle 2 cm diameter. Leaves opposite, dentate, shallowly 3-lobed, and having flat bases. Leaf blade measured 5.5 cm long and 5.5 cm wide.

Habitat is rich moist woodlands, common.

Height listed in Budd's Flora to 200 cm, we measured plants to 40 cm tall.
