Saskatchewan's Wildflowers

Saskatchewan's Wild Tomato! Low growing, annual with a spreading growth habit. Flowers are white with a yellow centre. Fruit is a green berry, the size of a small grape, and somewhat poisonous if ingested. Flowers in early to mid-summer.

Found on disturbed soil.

Height to about 30 cm.

The above photos were taken in early July on very dry prairie grassland at the Old-Man-On-His-Back Eco Reserve, about 400 km south west of our home in Regina, SK.
