Penstemon gracilis - photos and description

Saskatchewan's Wildflowers

Slender species listed as growing to 40 cm high (we measured above plants at 25 cm tall). Flowers are pale violet, 2 cm long, borne in a panicle. Leaves are opposite, linear, a few teeth, 4 cm long and 5 mm wide.

Common on moist prairie.

The above photos were taken June 19th, at the Buffalo Grass Eco Reserve, 200 km southeast of our home in Regina, SK.
