Donned chest waders to take these photos

Aquatic plant flowering begins mid July. Flowers have white petals and yellow centres, non-fragrant, about 4 cm in diameter, close in late afternoon. Leaves have a v-shaped sinus (opening between leaf lobes), sinus usually slightly shorter than midrib of leaf. Leaves to 10 cm long, and 7 cm across. Green above, reddish brown underneath.

Rare, listed as S2 by the Saskatchewan Conservation Data Centre.

Took the above photos August 7th, in a pond in the boreal forest, about 400 km NE of our home in Regina, SK
