






Erect plant with single-stemmed or branching growth habit. Basal leaves long-stalked, stem leaves cauline. Leaves lanceolate to oblanceolate. Entire plant pubescent with short stiff hairs, leaves rough to touch. Leaf highlighted above was 9 cm long and 3 cm wide. Flowers are pale blue, nodding, from upper leaf axils, tubular in shape, we measured them to 15 mm long.
Common to woodlands across the prairies.
Height listed in Budd's Flora to 70 cm, we measured plants to 68 cm tall.
Took the above photos June 16th and July 10th in Boreal forest Duck Mountain Provincial Park, 300 km north east of Regina, SK, and July 12th in Boreal forest in the Porcupine Hills, 450 km north east of our home in Regina, Saskatchewan.
