



15 cm ruler for scale





Woodland plant with an arching growth habit. Flowers small, white in panicles, flowers measured to 4 mm diameter and 3 mm long. Flowers with a very faint scent. Panicles measured to 9 cm long. Stem leaves are alternate light green, elliptical to ovate, clasp the stem, leaf highlighted in above photo was 13 cm long and 4.5 cm wide. Stems with short, white hairs running lines down the stem. Top of leaves glabrous, bottom of leaf with very short hairs. Straw coloured basal leaves sheath the stem. Flowering begins early June.
Habitat is moist woods.
Rare, listed as an S1S2 by the Saskatchewan Conservation Data Centre.
Height listed in Budd's Flora from 30 to 90 cm. We measured plants to 55 cm tall.
