15 cm ruler for scale

Short perennial plant native to moist woods. Dense raceme of white flowers, flowers 5 mm in diameter. Leaves are ovate with cordate bases, sessile, alternate, 2-3 per plant. Leaf undersides and margins pubescent. Stems sparsely hairy.

Tallest plants in above photos were 15 cm tall.

Habitat is moist woods, common.

Photo taken June 22nd, mixed woods Nesbitt provincial forest, 400 km north of Regina, and in mossy Jack pine forest, near La Ronge 600 km north of our home in Regina, SK.
