Saskatchewan's Wildflowers

Semi-erect to decumbent, low growing annual, branching from a central root. We observed leaves that were alternate, and leaves that were opposite. Leaves are palmate, comprised of up to 7 leaflets. Leaves measured at 8.5 cm long with petiole, 5 cm in diameter. Leaflets 3.5 cm long, and 0.5 cm side (measured when flattened), elliptical in profile. Stems and leaf undersides have long hairs. Flowers purple blue to almost white, in short dense racemes. Flower to 1.5 cm long, racemes to 4 cm long.

Height listed in Budd's Flora from 10 - 25 cm. The tallest plant we measured was 12 cm tall.

Took the above photos July 11th, sand blow out, sandy prairie, about 100 km west of our home in Regina, SK.
