Light purple-blue flowers with white centres, composed of 5 petals in an irregular shape. Infloresence is a loose raceme. Leaves are alternate, lower leaves spatulate 2 cm long and 3 mm wide, upper ones linear, to 2 cm long, 3 mm wide, with a few teeth. Plants have an upright, slender growth habit.

Begins flowering in July.

Fairly common in forest bogs, and found occasionally in wet prairie meadows.

Height up to 35 cm.

Took the above photos July 5th in wet grassland about 70 km southeast of Regina, SK, July 22nd Duck Mountain Provincial Park 300 km north east of our home in Regina, SK, and August 5th along the Chemong road, north of Hudson Bay, about 450 km NE of our home in Regina, SK
