Linum rigidum - photos and description

Saskatchewan's Wildflowers





Erect, branching plant with pale yellow flowers measured at 15 mm. Flowers last only a day. Leaves cauline, alternate, linear, having a few teeth. Leaf highlighted above was 2 cm long and 2 mm wide. Plant glabrous.

Fairly common on Saskatchewan's prairie.

Height listed in Budd's Flora from 15 to 40 cm tall. Plant featured in above photo was only 9 cm tall.
