Erect slender plants with large, showy white flowers. Flowers to 4 cm diameter, solitary. Leaves are alternate, toothed. Lower are spatulate, upper are linear, sessile - leaf highlighted in photo above was 5 cm long, and 4 mm wide. Plant glabrous. Red lines on the stems.

An introduced plant, grows in large patches in ditches and meadows in the parklands and boreal forest.

Height listed in Budd's Flora to 60 cm, we measured plants to 57 cm tall.

The above photos were taken June 24th, disturbed area, 450 km north east of our home in Regina, SK.
