




Leaves mostly basal from a central rosette, basal leaves linear-spatulate, silvery pilose. Basal leaves 2 cm long and 2 mm wide at widest point. A few linear stem leaves. Flowers bright yellow, 8 mm across and appear in late May.
Plant in above photo was 3 cm tall, 5 cm across.
Habitat is dry hillsides (tops) and badlands, southern prairies.
Tufted growth habit and flowers more or less corymbose (Taxonomic Reminder for Recognizing Saskatchewan Plants) differentiates this plant from other other native Bladderpod - L. arenosa.
Uncommon, listed as an S2S3 by the Saskatchewan Conservation Data Centre. I would add, locally common... I've seen many dozen of these in flower in suitable habitat it a couple locations in badland country in the south of the province.
