Chamaerhodos erecta

     

Single stemmed plant with a pyramidal shape in its 2nd (flowering year). Leaves much dissected into narrow lobes. Very small, 5 petaled, white flowers in early June.

Native to dry, prairie hillsides.

Height to 30 cm, width about 10 cm.

Took the above photos on a hillside, early-June in the Big Muddy Badlands 200 km south of Regina.
