Chenopodium leptophyllum - photos and description

Saskatchewan's Wildflowers



Erect annual with a slender growth habit. Infloresence in short spikes in upper leaf axils and top of stem. Leaves linear, mealy-silver below, I measured a leaf at 12 mm long and 2 mm wide.

Plants in above photo were 15 cm tall.

Habitat is sand dunes. Listed as an S4 (common) by the Saskatchewan Conservation Data Centre, and listed as uncommon in Checklist of the Vascular Plants of Saskatchewan.

Took the photos July 8th, bottom of an active sand dune, Douglas Provincial Park, 200 km northwest of our home in Regina, SK.
