Chamaerhodos erecta - photos and description

Saskatchewan's Wildflowers

Erect plants, branching above, profile usually forms a narrow pyramid. A few flowers at stem tips, flowers small, white to 5 mm diameter. Basal leaves in a rosette, divided 2-3 times into linear segments. Leaves measured at 3.5 cm long (including petiole), terminal segments 2-3 mm long. Stem leaves reduced in size upwards. Leaves and stems with long white hairs.

Common. Native to dry, prairie hillsides.

Height listed in Budd's Flora to 30 cm. I've measured plants to 20 cm tall.

Took the above photos June 1st, dry grassland, 100 km west of our home in Regina, SK.
