Looking straight down on infloresence

Plant with erect to decumbent stems, stems often reddish at base. Infloresence is a globose to elongate raceme. Flowers fragrant, white, measured to 2.5 ccm long. Leaves pinnate, to 15 leaflets. Leaf highlighted above measured 9 cm long and 10 cm wide. Leaflets linear, typical leaflet measured at 7 cm long and 2 mm wide. Stems and leaves pubescent.

Identifiable by its narrowly linear leaftets and white flowers.

Habitat is prairie grassland, and dry hillsides. Common.

Height listed in Flora of Alberta to 60 cm. We measured plants to 30 cm tall.

Photos taken June 2nd, on dry prairie, Old Man on His Back Eco Reserve, 500 km southwest of our home in Regina, SK.
