





Decumbent to erect growth habit. Leaves opposite, lanceolate to elliptical, typical leaf 5.5 cm long (with Petiole) and 2.5 cm wide. Leaves are wavy margined and waxy to touch, and thick. Stems are wooly, leaves top and bottom covered in short hairs. Flowers are in dense umbels growing from leaf axils. Individual flowers 1 cm long and are greenish yellow in colour.
Height listed in the field guides to 120 cm... the plant in the bottom photograph was 29 cm high.
Uncommon in our experience, Budd's Flora of the Canadian Prairie Provinces lists the plant as found occasionally. Habitat is dry and sandy soil in our grasslands.
Took the above photos on July 8th, and July 12th sand dune habitat in Douglas Provincial Park, about 200 km northwest of our home in Regina, SK.
