





Small, erect perennial with linear leaves arranged in whorls of 2 to 4 along the stem. Leaves to 4 cm long, 2 mm wide. Small greenish white flowers in mid July, flowers about 7 mm in diameter, in short umbels.
Plants exude a small amount of white sap when the leaves are torn.
Habitat is listed as grassland, dry soil, often on hillsides.
Very rare, listed as an S1 by the Saskatchewan Conservation Data Centre.
Height is listed in the guides to 50 cm, the plants we observed ranged from 18 cm to 27 cm in height.
Photos taken July 21st, on clay, stony soil, in southeast Saskatchewan, and June 19th in the Buffalo Grass Eco Reserve, 200 km south east of our home in Regina, SK.
