15 cm ruler for scale

Prostrate plant with woody stems, forming large mats on the ground. Clusters of small, nodding, white, urn-shaped flowers with a pink rim. Flowers measured at 6 mm long, and 5 mm diameter. Leaves are obovate, entire, thick, have a waxy feel, dark green on top, lighter green on the bottom. Typical leaf measured at 23 mm long (including petiole), and 9 mm wide.

Common. Found in wood or scrub throughout much of Saskatchewan, often in sandy soil.

Plants measured to 7 cm high.
