Erect plant with one or several stems from a rosette. Plant in photograph was 34 cm tall. Basal leaves covered in fine hairs, spatulate and coarsely toothed. Basal leaves 2 cm long and 6 mm wide. Stem leaves clasp the stem, linear, 2 cm long and 3 mm wide. Flowers are white with a purplish tinge, petals 6 mm long and flower is 2 mm in diameter. Seed pods flattened in profile and bent sharply downwards. Pods to 17 mm long.

Common to dry slopes and prairie.

Plant photographed May 13th on a steep slope of the Qu' Appelle Valley about 30 km north of our home in Regina, SK
