




Erect, single-stemmed plant, with 3 trifoliate, stalked leaves in a whorl below the flower. A single leaflet measured at 3.5 cm long and 1 cm wide. Top and bottom of leaves hairy, flower stalk pubescent and stems pubescent (note this differs from the description in Plants of the Western Boreal Forest and Aspen Parkland which lists the stems as nearly hairless). Single, bright white flowers up to 3 cm in diameter, with 5 or 6 white sepals (no petals).
Habitat is moist woodlands in the boreal forest.
Rare, listed as an S2 by the Saskatchewan Conservation Data Centre.
Height listed in Budd's Flora to 20 cm, we measured plants to 18 cm tall.
