15 cm ruler for scale





Erect growth habit with leaves divided narrow lobes of three. Basal leaf highlighted above was measured at 9.5 cm wide, lobes to 5 cm long and 4 mm wide. Usually several flowering stems, each bearing a single flower about 2 cm in diameter. Flower colour varies from white thru reddish-pink. Seed heads are globose. Stems and petioles woolly, leaves woolly below and glabrous above.

Found on prairie hillsides, and in moist meadows.

Height listed in Budd's Flora to 60 cm. Plant in above photo was 42 cm.

Took the above photos June 24th, roadside, moist woods, boreal forest 450 km north east of our home in Regina, SK.
