Saskatchewan's Wildflowers

15 cm ruler for scale

Long, narrow leaves typical of the genus Allium. Umbel of small white flowers which droop (nod) toward the ground. Flowers 1 cm long. Plant glabrous. We measured plants to 30 cm tall.

We've found them a couple times on hilltops in the Cypress Hills.

Quite rare, listed as S1S2 by the Saskatchewan Conservation Data Centre.

The above photos were taken on July 12th, west block Cypress Hills Provincial Park, 450 km SW of our home in Regina, SK.
