Upright growth habit, mid green leaves with very showy horizntal gold bands.

Tender for us in zone 3. Did overwinter in a warm spot next to the foundation of the house, then fussily moved it to another spot in the yard where it did not overwinter. Trying it again in 2003.

Reference books say height to 6 feet, only grew about 3 feet tall in its two years with us. Was a clumper, didn't appear to be invasive.
