Great plant, upright habit with tan-coloured, showy seedheads. Provides a good vertical presence in the garden.
Rick Darke in The Color Encyclopedia of Onamental Grasses describes it as "...understandably one of the most popular ornamental grasses worldwide."
Clumping grass, non-invasive.
We have it growing in partial shade in a spot where afternoon sun shines on the seedheads, making them appear almost golden in colour.
We picked this up several years ago at one of the Saskatchewan Perennial Society's plant exchanges, a great acquisition for us. Love their plant exchanges.
