One of our favourite annuals. Large blooms - up to 4" across, and as you can see above, a tremendous variety in colour, and varieties available with striped blooms.

Full sun. Tolerant of dry conditions. Low growing, height is about 12".

Two problems:

• Their blooms only open when the sun is out - they close up on cloudy days. This also means they should be planted in full sun to perform best.
• They can be expensive to buy as plants, and Gazania seed is usually expensive.
