CANADIAN WESTERN AGRIBITION IS . . .

  • the meeting place for approximately 150,000 people from 9 Canadian provinces, over 28 American states and more than 23 countries worldwide. Of these visitors, 70% are farm people.
  • attended by one third of all Western Canadian farmers. These farmers collectively spend in excess of $1.5 billion annually on grain and livestock production.
  • a marketplace. Approximately $2.5 million dollars worth of livestock sales take place at the public auctions, and millions more in sales occur by private treaty as a result of Agribition.
  • one of the best livestock shows in the world, with around 2,000 exhibitors, 17 different beef cattle breeds, as well as commercial cattle, horses, swine, dairy, sheep and poultry competitions.
  • the place to see over 500 exhibits displaying the newest developments in agricultural technology and services.
  • a grain and forage showcase which offers an excellent opportunity to grain and forage producers to present their products to prospective buyers and to educate the general audience about quality seed.
  • an agricultural education centre. The Agri-Ed Showcase explains the business of agriculture to thousands of children and the urban audience. The Western Lifestyles Showcase links the producer and the consumer with a program of education and entertainment focused on western food, fashion and fun.
  • located on more than 19 acres of prime indoor facilities - the second largest indoor facilities in Canada. Regardless of the weather outside, it'll be comfortable inside.
  • entertainment at its best. Agribition's pro rodeo attracts the top professional cowboys from across North America. The National Non-Pro Cutting Horse finals, the Heavy Horse pulls and hitches, and the stock dogs are just some of the examples of family entertainment that takes place at Agribition. The Show's Grandstand features cowboy poets, musical entertainment and fashion shows.
  • hospitality. International visitors receive red carpet treatment with airport and hotel shuttle service, a special reception in their honour, and a centre for business and relaxation.

Many services are available on grounds to look after all visitors, including:

  • staffed information booths,
  • baby comfort stations,
  • accommodations office,
  • banking services, and ,
  • a courtesy bus to transport people to and from the grounds.
